Swagatham Charities was registered as a Charitable Trust in the year 1999. We are a small team of around 100 service-minded families and their extended network. We truly believe that Service to Mankind is Service to God (Manava Seva Madhava Seva).
One of our core values is to alleviate hunger. In today’s world, many families struggle to get 1 square meal a day. At Swagatham Charities, we have been providing meals to the poor and needy every Sunday even prior to the formation of the Trust. Anywhere between 75-100 underprivileged people participate in these Sunday annadanam drives. Our large-scale annadanam events happen twice a year – April and November, over a span of 1-3 days. In some years, these programmes have gone on for up to 9 days. During these days, close to 2000 people partake of 3 meals each day. It gives us much joy to be able to alleviate their hunger during these days.
Education is another important priority for us. We realise that contributing to the education of one child can uplift an entire family. At the start of each school year, we distribute stationery items to children from impoverished families and those studying in Government schools.
Our charity also extends to old age homes, orphanages and homes for the destitute, in the form of basic necessities. In our earlier years, we have conducted a number of free medical camps, tying up with service-minded hospitals. We continue to contribute medical supplies to poor families whenever possible.
We are able to carry on all the above service activities because of the compassion, service-mindedness and generosity of a number of patrons and philanthropists like you.
We humbly invite you to join hands with us…
